Update
The Granicus engineering team has completed testing a hotfix from Microsoft that resolves the compatibility issues Legistar has been experiencing with Word versions 2210 and above. The hotfix is now available in Word versions in the following Microsoft 365 update channels:

Beta Channel Version 2303, build 16224.20000.
Current Channel (Preview) Version 2302 (Build 16130.20218)
Current Channel as Version 2302 (Build 16130.20218)

Microsoft has communicated that they expect to release the fix to all other update channels by the end of March. We will make another status update when this broader release occurs.

The Granicus engineering team is testing a hotfix from Microsoft that addresses the compatibility issues Legistar has been experiencing with Word versions 2210 and above. Once the hotfix is validated, Microsoft will move forward with releasing the fix more broadly. We will provide more details on the timeline and instructions for updating once Microsoft finalizes that information. Microsoft has committed to expediting the roll-out of this fix and the Granicus team is working to test the hotfix as quickly as possible.

Legistar continues to experience compatibility issues with Word versions 2210 and above. After reviewing our hotfix request, Microsoft has committed to resolving the issue. Granicus engineering teams will continue to work closely with Microsoft throughout this process and another update will be available the week of February 27th.

Identified
Legistar is currently experiencing compatibility issues with the latest versions of Word from Microsoft 365, this includes Word versions 2210 and later. Microsoft was able to identify the root cause of this issue and we have worked with them to submit a "hotfix" request, which is now under review.

As a temporary workaround, we recommend rolling back to a previous version of Word, version 2209 or below. Microsoft has confirmed that the code causing this issue was introduced in version 2210 and persists in newer versions.
